Science gives you the chance to understand the world in a new way. Chemistry is one of the most exciting branches of science, the elements can combine to form everything from water to explosions. We will learn what causes those combinations and what results occur. In the process you will learn problem solving skills that will serve you in all areas of your life.

Class Schedule
Prerequisites
This class requires a basic understanding of Algebra to take the class. We will be doing lots of Algebra, so it will be frustrating for you if you cannot solve equations.
Materials Required
Calculator (Cell phones will not be accessible during class, so you will need a calculator to perform equations, unless you want to do it all on paper)
Homework
Expect 2-5 hours of homework a week (more than we had in Physics last year). All students will need to do at least 2 hours of homework each week, but we will have approximately five hours of homework available if you want to retain even more of what we learn.
Notes
This is a high school level Chemistry class. I plan to teach it again in two years so you do not have to take it now if you don’t feel ready or you would rather take Pillars or Biology. We will have a lot of fun, but it will take some work.
There will not be AI in the class.
